a t t a c k j a c k n o w: nothing wrong with it, really?

attackjacknow:

Apparently, this film was majorly offensive to gay rights groups of the early 80’s for it’s betrayal of it’s leather culture. Okay.. so why? Did gay men in New York not go to literal underground clubs, wear leather, take drugs, then have random sex using varieties of fetishes? Check, tis true….

Empowerment.

Why I don’t like “empowered” people:
They seem to project this creepy, cultish optimism, without prejudice, to any and all existing in their periphery. The device for this projection seems to be emotional hyperactivity and a shit-eating grin, wholly comprised of insecurity and an ever-growing darkness which originated from that kind of hedonism you give in to once everything else you’ve tried has completely failed you like an alcoholic father who thinks it’s still 1987, but twice as embarrassing in social situations.
